Michael ZarourUX & product designer
About me

I care about the details and the people behind them.

I’m a UX designer in Rancho Cucamonga, California. I design software and web experiences that are beautiful, simple, and easy to use.

How I work

Curious about how things work, and who they’re for.

I enjoy learning how unfamiliar systems work and talking with the people who use them. I work closely with product managers, developers, marketers, and content teams to turn ambiguity into something tangible.

My work spans:

  • Product discovery
  • Information architecture
  • Responsive interface design
  • Prototyping
  • Design systems
  • Usability testing
Experience

From global B2B websites to public-sector software.

  1. 2022–2024Digital Marketing Operations

    Experian

I designed global B2B web experiences and modular design-system components for Experian’s Digital Marketing Operations team.

  2. Before 2022Shipped products and AI concepts

    Laserfiche

I led design for shipped products like Direct Share and explored AI-assisted workflows for the public sector.

Outside of work

Old Game Boys, custom keyboards, and product photography.

I’ve restored and sold Game Boys, experimented with handmade keyboard parts, and photographed them to tell their stories. The hobbies change, but the urge to understand and make things usually doesn’t.

Away from Figma, I’m usually with friends and family, looking for a good cup of coffee, taking photographs, hiking, or getting absorbed in the next hobby.
